  • August 30, 2020 - 4pm: Winchester Land Trust annual meeting, at the gazebo on the Winchester Center Green.
  • June 1, 2019 - "Connecticut Trails Day Hike" at Houlihan Woods and the Michael Giordano Tribute Area.  Come hike the trails and try out the bog bridges.
  • April 16, 2019 - "Avian Ambassadors and Adaptations"  Meet "Poppy", the Barn Owl, and "Nemo" and "Dory", Indian Runner Ducks when Colleen Peters of the Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy visits Beardsley & Memorial Library.
  • September 29, 2018 - Fall Foliage Festival on Main Street in Winsted - visit the WLT booth to pick up trail maps and buy a T-shirt.
  • August 26, 2018 - 4pm: Winchester Land Trust annual meeting, at the gazebo on the Winchester Center Green.
  • June 2, 2018 - 10am: Connecticut Trails Day Hike at Houlihan Woods and the Michael Giordano Tribute Area (formerly TorWin Farm).
    Meet at the Houlihan Woods entrance on South Rd in Winchester, just beyond the north end of Sawmill Rd in Torrington.
  • April 18, 2018 - "Birds of Prey" presentation by Sharon Audubon Center at Beardsley & Memorial Library (sponsored by WLT).
  • October 21, 2017 - Open Space Symposium at NCCC Founders Hall, 10am
  • October 7, 2017 - Fall Foliage Festival, on Main Street in Winsted, CT.
  • Sept 30, 2017 - Winchester Center Days
  • September 23, 2017 - Dedication of Stevens Preserve, near 422 E. Wakefield Blvd, 10am 
  • August 27, 2017 - WLT's Annual Meeting, on the green in Winchester Center in the gazebo, 4pm.
  • August 12, 2017 - Winchester Grange Day at the Grange in Winchester Center.
  • July 21, 2017 - Winsted Farmers Market, on the green in Winsted from 3-6pm.
  • June 3 2017 - Join WLT as we hike to the Danbury Quarter Cemetery.  Visit the graves of Revolutionary and Civil War soldiers at a historic cemetery, surrounded by beautiful woods.  This hike is part of the Connecticut Trails Day program.  Meet in the "turn-out" on Preston Rd.
  • May 18 2017, Nature’s Not-So-Cuddly: This program teaches children how to be heroes to creatures that often get overlooked or mistreated because of their unhuggable appearance. All are welcome.
  • April 23 2017, 5-7pm.  Winchester Land Trust presents "Tor Win Farm" at the Five Points Gallery in Torrington. Come enjoy food and drink, as well as current and historic photos of the farm that WLT is in the process of acquiring.
  • August 28, 2016 - Annual Meeting  Please join us for Winchester Land Trust's Annual Meeting at the gazebo on the Winchester Center Green.
  • June 4, 2016 - Connecticut Trails Day Hike  Meet at the Winchester Center Green to hike the spectacular Ruez Trail.  The path crosses clear streams, fields of ferns, and passes the "Great Rock" - an enormous glacial erratic boulder.  All are welcome for this 1.5 mile hike with some hills, but no steep inclines
  • June 17, 2016 - Beardsley & Memorial Library Join White Memorial Conservation Center’s Education Director Carrie Szwed as she guides you through the menagerie of animals we have right here in the northwest corner of CT.  Families with children are welcome at this program.
  • August 30, 2015 - Annual Meeting  - WLT Members meet at the gazebo on the Winchester Center Green on Sunday from 4-6pm.  Food and drink provided
  • June 7, 2015 - Hike the newly blazed Ruez Trail!  Meet at the Winchester Center Green. This is a CT Trails Day Event.
  • April 4, 2015 - Owl and exotic Ducks at Beardsley Library  when Livingston Ripley Conservancy educators introduce endangered birds from their Litchfield collection. Saturday, 11:00am.
  • Coyotes - April 24, 2014   - Come learn more about these fascinating animals who share our land.  6:30pm  Beardsley & Memorial Library.
  • Hurlbut Field Hike - June 7, 2014  Join us on this beautiful hike along Lake Winchester and through Hurlbut Field.  CT Trails Day Event 9am - meet at the Winchester Lake Boat Launch Parking.
  • Cleanup/Hike of the Waterbury Turnpike, October 20, 2013 - Meet up at the Winchester Center Green at 10am.
  • Annual Meeting: August 25, 2013 - WLT Members meet at the gazebo on the Winchester Center Green on Sunday from 4-6pm.  Food and drink provided.
  • WLT celebrates 25 years of conservation!   June 22, 2012  4 - 7 p.m.   Come for food, drink, music and fun.  We'll talk about WLT's next 25 years.  Tickets are $35 per person.  Watch for your invitation in the mail, or contact a WLT board member.
  • Tree by Tree - Woodlot Management: April 25,2013 - 6:30 p.m., Jeff Ward, Chief Scientist at the CT Agricultural Experiment Station will speak on Woodlot Management at the Beardsley & Memorial Library.  This event is free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be served.
  • CT Trails Day Hike: June 1, 2013 - 10-11:30AM - Meet at the Lake Winchester State boat launch.
  • Annual Meeting: August 26, 2012 - WLT Members meet at the gazebo on the Winchester Center Green on Sunday from 4-6pm.  Food and drink provided.
  • Winchester Land Trust art display at the Winsted Journal.  Oil paintings by Victor Leger and watercolors by Roland Clement will be on display in the Winsted Journal windows during the month of April.  Stop by and check them out!  They are available for purchase - price lists will be posted in the window. 
  • Juliana Barrett, Planting for Water Quality - Riparian Buffers and Your Garden, April 3 at 7 p.m. at the Beardsley & Memorial Library.  Just in time for gardening season, come hear about our vulnerable riparian areas and how we can landscape to protect water quality.   Juliana Barrett is an Assistant Educator with Connecticut Sea Grant.
  • Earth Day Dinner at Mario's - Have dinner at Mario's Tuscany Grill on April 22, between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. and Mario's will donate 20% of proceeds to the Winchester Land Trust!
  • CT Trails Day Hike: Saturday, June 2, 2012 10am.  Meet at the CT StateBoat Launch at Winchester Lake for a nature walk along the lake and through Hurlbut Field.We hope to see birds including osprey, bald eagle, kildeer and bobolink.  All welcome.
  • October 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Whiting Mills.  A fun fundraiser featuring wine tasting, music, delicious food, and lots of wonderful auction items, many with a nature and art theme!  Admission only $20 per person.
  • August 28, 2011 "Annual Meeting - at 4 p.m.  Auction at the Gazebo on the Winchester Center Green.  Meeting of members to elect directors and discuss Winchester Land Trust projects and goals.
  • June 4, 2011  "Hike the Waterbury Turnpike". Meet Saturday  at 10:00am on the Winchester Center Green.  (This is a Connecticut Trails Day Event)
  • February 20, 2011   "Snowshoe on the TAM Property" with the Norfolk Land Trust (WLT holds an easement on this property)  Meet at the corner of Winchester Rd/Schoolhouse Rd.  Bring your snowshoes and poles.
  • January 22, 2011   Brian Kleinman of Riverside Reptiles will bring his presentation of live reptiles and amphibians to Beardsley & Memorial Library on Saturday January 22, 2011 at 11am.  All are welcome to attend.
  • October 10, 2010      The Winchester Land Trust Benefit - WLT & Infinity Hall present: Ralph Nader, Aztec Two Step and the Region 7 Jazz Band on October 10 at 7pm.
  • August 29, 2010        Annual Meeting: Meet at the gazebo on the Winchester Center Green on Sunday from 4-6pm.  Food and drink provided.
  • March 14, 2009    “Party and Auction” at Whiting Mills in downtown Winsted.
  • June 6, 2009    A “concert” by slam-poet, Taylor Mali, at Northwest Community College in downtown Winsted.
  • August 30, 20009    Annual Meeting “On the Green” in Winchester Center from 4-6pm.
  • October, 2008    Annual Meeting at Beardsley and Memorial Library with presentation on “Small Mammals” by James Fischer, PhD of White Memorial Conservation Center.
